Business Systems Administrator

The purpose of this position is to maintain data within the Admissions CRM (Slate), which is utilized by all Admissions offices across the University, and provide systems and operations support for Enrollment Management. This position has responsibility with assisting with the building of applications, forms, reports, queries, communication plans, bin structures, user permissions, and configurations necessary to enhance and maintain the CRM.  This includes developing and executing technological solutions and strategies, workflow changes, business process improvements, and training development and delivery.  This also includes utilizing the system in order to provide data and information requested by individuals across the University, performing analysis of the data as needed, and developing and providing reporting. This position may include responsibility as a Slate Captain. This position requires proficiency in the University student information system, the Admissions CRM system, and other systems used by Enrollment Management as needed. This position has responsibility for assisting with Operations functions, as assigned by the Assistant Director of Operations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of project management and experience in requirement writing, testing, data analytics, and technical systems experience.

Proficiency in the University student information system, the Admissions CRM system, and other systems used by Enrollment Management.

Knowledge in project management, experience in requirement writing, testing, and training development and delivery.

Knowledge of and ability to develop forms, reports, communication plans, and other deliverables within the CRM that require an understanding of query language and concepts. This includes learning and becoming proficient in custom SQL and requires the ability to work closely with the CRM vendor in order to implement complex functionality (such as payment integrations, microsite setup, search name imports, etc.).

Experience working on system development projects.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work with a high level of independence and exercise independent judgement, while maintaining clear and thorough communication with direct supervisor.

Ability to gather information from others and develop and execute systems solutions based upon information gathered.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables; Experience working with data through queries and reports.

Ability to work with data within University systems (or ability to learn to work within these systems).

Experience working on technical / systems projects.

Bachelor’s degree required.
