Associate Dean for Library and Information Resources
Associate Dean for Library and Information Resources reports directly to the
Dean of the School of Law and has overall responsibility for the administration
of the operation, programs and services of the Law Library. The Associate Dean
also has responsibility for assuring that the Law Library is in compliance with
the accreditation standards and membership requirements of the American Bar
Association and the Association of American Law Schools, respectively. This
position is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will have a
tenured or tenure-track faculty appointment in the Law Library.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Law Library includes 383,000 volumes (117,000 of which are in print
format). It is currently staffed by four librarians and one full-time and
one half-time support staff members. Western New England University School of
Law has a student body of approximately 330 JD students and 40 LLM and Master’s
students, 23 full-time faculty members, and offers both a full-time and a part-time

Applicants must hold both a J.D. from an ABA-approved Law School and a Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program, and have
substantial experience in law library administration. The successful candidate
will demonstrate administrative, financial, and organizational skills; proven
leadership; and an outstanding knowledge of the research, teaching and
educational needs of the faculty and student body.
