Assistant Professor of Construction Management

The Construction Management Program at Western New England University (WNE) seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in Fall 2022. 

The Construction Management Department is the newest department within the College of Engineering (COE) and offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Construction Management.  The COE offers BS degrees in Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical engineering. It also offers MS and PhD degrees in multiple programs. 

Screening of applicants will begin starting January 31, 2022, and will continue until the position is filled. Applicants are requested to submit a single PDF file containing a cover letter indicating their teaching and research interest, a detailed curriculum vita, and the names and contact information of at least three references.

Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field, and must have demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate is expected to (1) teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in construction management, construction engineering, and related courses, (2) develop and maintain internationally recognized externally funded research, (3) pursue scholarly and service activities, and (4) lead national and international student competitions.
